Sales Consultant Employment Opportunities

Reports To: VP of Sales
Location: Dallas, Texas Area
Classification: Full-time Exempt; Base Salary + Commission

Primary role is to execute direct sales within an assigned geographic area for purpose of new client acquisition. Must develop sales strategies to successfully meet & exceed sales targets and build a profitable sales region. Will also have some responsibility for add–on sales to, and retention of, existing clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute multi–faceted prospecting plan to create and close new client opportunities that meets or exceeds monthly acquisition objectives
  • Develop sales plans for achieving revenue targets within a defined geographic region
  • Ability to execute cold calls and walk–ins, develop strategic alliances and effectively utilize networking groups to create new business opportunities
  • Input and manage all sales opportunities through CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, which will include sales pipeline forecasting and management
  • Manage personal performance through effective goal–setting, measurement, and evaluation
Education & Experience:
  • Must have minimum of 3 years prior direct sales experience to the small or mid–sized business market.
  • Requires four-year college degree or an additional 3 years of prior sales experience
  • Some technical knowledge or aptitude for learning is desirable
  • Solid work history
  • Previous selling in an outsourced service industry is preferred but not essential

Additional Requirements / Desires:
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain auto insurance at least 100/300/50.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required
  • Previous experience using a CRM system preferred but not essential
  • Social media marketing experience preferred
  • Successful proactive insurance, telecom, copier, or other service contract sales experience a plus
